Law enforcement is upping patrols for what is one of the leading holiday weekends for alcohol-related accidents and deaths. Last Labor Day 53 people were killed on California Highways, the CHP said.
Eighty percent of the California Highway Patrol’s officers will be on the road looking for drunk drivers, speeders and those not wearing safety belts.
